Air Conditioning Installation in South Wales
F-Gas certified air conditioning for homes and offices
Overview
A properly installed split air conditioning system does two jobs: it keeps rooms genuinely cool through the summer, and it works as a highly efficient reversible heat pump the rest of the year, often costing less to run than electric panel heaters. We install wall-mounted, ceiling cassette, and multi-split systems for single rooms, whole houses and small commercial spaces.
All installation and refrigerant handling is carried out by F-Gas certified engineers, and every system is commissioned and tested before we hand it over, with a full demonstration of the controls and app (where fitted).
Signs you might need air conditioning
- Upstairs bedrooms become uncomfortably hot in summer, disrupting sleep
- A home office, loft conversion or conservatory is too hot to use for parts of the year
- You're relying on multiple portable AC units or fans that struggle to cool the room properly
- Your current heating is expensive electric panel heaters or storage heaters
- A south-facing room with large windows overheats even with blinds closed
Our process
Site survey
We assess room size, insulation, and the best outdoor unit location to recommend the right system size: not oversized, not underpowered.
Fixed-price quote
A clear quote covering the unit, pipework, electrical work and commissioning.
F-Gas certified install
Indoor and outdoor units are fitted, pipework routed neatly, and the system pressure-tested.
Commissioning & handover
We commission the system, test heating and cooling modes, and talk you through the controls.
What affects the cost
Every property is different, so we don’t publish fixed prices online. You’ll always get a free, fixed-price quote after a proper survey. Here’s what typically drives the cost up or down:
Number of rooms/units
A single room (mono-split) system costs less than a multi-split system cooling several rooms from one outdoor unit.
System type
Wall-mounted indoor units are the most cost-effective. Ceiling cassette or ducted systems cost more to supply and fit.
Pipe run length
The distance and route between indoor and outdoor units affects refrigerant pipework and labour.
Electrical supply
If your consumer unit needs a new circuit or upgrade to support the system, this adds to the job.
Access and unit position
Outdoor unit position (ground level, wall-mounted bracket, flat roof) affects installation complexity.
Maintenance & aftercare
- Clean or replace indoor unit filters every 1–3 months during heavy use
- Keep the outdoor unit clear of leaves, debris and overgrown plants
- Book an annual service to check refrigerant levels and clean coils, which also protects most manufacturer warranties
- Avoid running the system with doors and windows open, which reduces efficiency
Jargon-free glossary
- Split system
- An air conditioning system with an indoor unit and a separate outdoor condenser unit, connected by refrigerant pipework.
- Mono-split
- One indoor unit connected to one outdoor unit, typically used to cool/heat a single room.
- Multi-split
- Multiple indoor units connected to a single outdoor unit, used to cool/heat several rooms.
- F-Gas
- The UK/EU regulations governing the handling of refrigerant gases. Engineers must hold F-Gas certification to legally install or service air conditioning.
- Heat pump mode
- The reversible function that lets a split air conditioning system provide efficient heating as well as cooling.
